Petri
Hello all! Recently my baby grey (10 weeks old) has been tilting to the left with her right foot balled up underneath her. I heard that standing on one foot is fine, but it's not that she's standing on one foot, bc shes still using the balled up one to balance. Is this normal?? The first time I noticed it she was making a lot of noises and I thought her foot was hurt, but then she waddled across the room to her toy just fine. judygram
When they stand on one foot they usually ball up the other one, it gives it a rest, this is all normal.
Joyvke
Django is doing this as well. Brabbling a bit then attempting to sleep on one paw, nothing to be concerned about. It's a good sign from what I know .
Petri
Thank you! I think I got nervous because I usually only see her doing it with her right foot.
kins2321@yahoo.com
Birds ball up a foot for two reasons. Sleeping, or warning. You, need to decide what is the reasoning. I've had my birds over a decade, and when I walk downstairs in the morning, All birds have one foot lifted up. Danger! When I get half way down the stairs, I always say " foot down!" Thats my letting them know its me.I see three birds put their foot down. Its all about reading the signals. Nancy
Petri
Good to know! It's usually when her eyes are dozing--after I come home from work and she gets to run around and play for a couple of hours. Then all of a sudden...foot goes up, eyelids come down! haha
