carolz7
I am forever trying to lesson my load of work, especially has the years go buy and it seems harder and harder to keep up with things. Anyway i found a place locally that sells plexi glass that is either off fall or wrong cuts but anyway they sell by the pound for like pennies. My birds are soo messy when eating half of the food ends up in the trays or on the floor. So i attached these pieces of plexi to my cages and look day 2 no food on the floor. The pieces still have the plastic backing on it and you can find several of the same cuts so i did not have to cut any of it. Just thought i would share if anyone is interested. Ray P
Oh yah, I know all about that mess on the floor even with the seed catcher on our cages. Sounds like a good idea.

What size is your glass, and how did you attach it to your cage? thanks you for the idea :}
carolz7
I found a place that sells plexi glass only here locally in Houston. They have a section where they sell their scrap for pennies per pound. I measured my cage and went and picked out what would work for it. I drill holes in the inside and either attach a perch to hold the plexi in place, or just screw and washer and nut. I will see if i can get a close up picture but so far it really is not showing. White cages and clear plexi you cannot see the plexi. But i will post a a close up once my babies wake up. They sleep til 9am.lol
