judygram
Finally, Mandi, we are having a terrible time with photos lately, a few have been posted with no problem and others have had no luck. That is a lovely looking eclectus and it is a male at that, thanks for sharing him with us.

Best of luck with him and let us know how he is adapting to having time out of his cage.

mandiskem
thanks today hes been talking to buddy telling him to shut up and answering him bk.got to change basils diet though as he is on the totally on the wrong food . eclectus parrots should only be on fresh fruit food with millet spray and trill (budgie food) as the ekkies cant digest the other food very well at all. LisaM
Congrats on your new Ekkie! I love my little green guy, Max. I'm so happy that Basil has you to look after him now!!! Sounds like you've done your homework, but here are two good sites for eclectus info (one with a forum, but not NEARLY as active as this one!) www.shadeseclectus.com www.landofvos.com Both have good cooked food (rice/beans/corn/etc) recipes, birdie bread, etc., as well as a ton of information. If you get a chance, sprout some of that millet. Mine absolutely goes berserk over sprouted seed and it's SUPER healthy for them (all birds, really, but my grey won't touch it yet...still trying though!).
