Sassy Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Things are going great. Her feathers are coming in nicely. She chatting up a storm. She has even figured out ways get to some of her feathers to preen. I've been giving her lots of baths even though she hates them. If even been taking her cone off for a couple minutes every night and observing her preening. She doing great! Saturday she goes back for a recheck and we should be coming home with no cone. I'm going to have to get her some new toys to celebrate. Sassy
danmcq Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Thats wonderful news! You have done a GreYt job in taking care of her.
Timbersmom Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I'll bet you are both looking forward to a "cone-free" future! Good job of hanging in there
judygram Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 This makes me very happy to hear she is doing so well and looking forward to the removal of that cone, thanks for updating us on her, what a trooper she has been thru it all. 2
Sassy Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 yes definately looking forward to it... it has been neat to watch her adjust and figure out how to do things like climb on her tree and in her cage... I know she really wants to fly... she's always pulling her wings up like she's about to take off and realizes she can't... she'll shoot you a look as if to say "a little help over here"
kins2321@yahoo.com Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 So excited the cone is coming off! The anti inflammatory your vet has put your bird on.... is AMAZING! Regarding pain and inflammation, Mobic, is a very strong and powerful drug. Nancy
