Off Work

I have been off work for the last two days and Cricket thinks its great. She has had more time with me and out of cage time. Most of the time she is on my left shoulder doing nothing but chatter away. She has been on my shoulder now for the last 2 1/2 hrs. and has dropped about 10 lbs. of poop down my back.

Oh the things we do for our fids.

Wish I could believe they think they are honoring us when they drop their bombs on us but I just can't quite convince myself!

I'm thinking a rain poncho would be appropriate for these wonderful bonding sessions. Oh the things we tolerate for our flock, LOL. Half of me is saying Yuck and the other two thirds are saying awwww, Cricket misses you when you are working.

This is what my old t-shirts are for, I can just change it if it gets poop on it though I don't mind it as much, I just think its part of sharing your life with birds.

Why is it that our birds fly to us from their cage top, do the wiggle and squat, and then hop off? I would think it would be easier to fly if they dropped their cargo before the initial take off.
