Guest Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Hi all, Thanks for the forums. I have a 5 month old CAG. Here's Smokey at about 3 months of age, munching on broccolini for the first time: Smokey can follow about 7 requests - step up, off, wave, shake hands, come, fly back to cage, potty (about 50% accuracy ). He learns so quickly - I've never seen such quick learning from any other animal. We do contact calls in the house. We improvise with whistling - his repertoire of sounds grows by the week. His intelligence is terrific, but keeping him occupied and well behaved indoors has its challenges. No doubt there are many good ideas to be shared here. I've only had one for a few months, but it's enough to know that African Greys are amazing. It's good to find a group of people who share an interest in these animals.
Ray P Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Hi Smokey and welcome to the grey forum. Love the picture of your first time broccoli experience.
