I think in line with this statement is my favorite quote (Eleanor Roosevelt): "No one could make you feel inferior without your consent." If I had listened to all the people who doubted that I could get to college as a homeless teenager, I would never have succeeded. I am a teacher now, with a soft spot for special needs teens (as I once was). I gave it my all, 100%. Trying your best is the surest way to "make it" in life.
