Anybody know anything about the Manila rope you can buy at lowes I think I can hot glue some 3/4 inch into 1/2 inch pvc fittings and make the play top a little different

Be wary of Lowes and other home improvement places for rope. Often times it is treated and the clerks do not have a clue on how to check. Usually your best bet is at craft supply or art supply stores. Tell the clerk it is for a sensory project for little ones so you must have untreated natural rope in case someone puts it in their mouth.
