Judo
Hello Friends! OK, I'am wondering if I should buy a first aid book on Parrots? I've read that we as Parrot owners should have certain first aid tools and equiptments in case of an emergency? I've purchased two books on CAG's and read it already. Where can I buy the first aid kit's that are recommended to have? I do not plan on cutting the flight wings of my GREY. I've never done it although I've been shown how to do it!! I will also be looking for a Aviary Vet close by my home. Thanks All in Advance! Judo
judygram
You don't need a first aid book on parrots, you just need something to stop bleeding if it happens when a blood feather is cut. You can use a little cornstarch or even flour to help stop bleeding and of course there are products specifically for that purpose also. If there is any other medical problem it would be best to contact an avian vet for help.
