paleale
We've sent Pearl to bed for the evening... She crunched on her pellet off and on for at least an hour and has now settled at the bottom of her cage. She has been off and on on one foot. Should I be concerned that she's sleeping on the floor of her cage?
Jayd
Not right now don't worry..Your baby probably slept on the floor at the breeders, put a perch where it touches the floor of the cage, Pearl only has to step to get on it. Congrats Jay
judygram
Jay is right, Pearl is perfectly fine sleeping on the floor of her cage, she may pick a perch later on as they are all individuals and holding one foot up is how they rest that foot, all greys do it. FirstPenguin
I'm sure he's fine. My CAG, who is only about 5 months older than yours, likes to spend lots of time on the bottom of his cage playing, he was reared in a play pen type area at the breeder. I'm sure he'd sleep low in the cage if it we didn't put him in a smaller sleep cage. Congo's in the wild spend plenty of time on the ground, hence the shorter tails. Fun fact, your birds hatch day is the same as my birthday.
