WayneVR
Hi there, I have a 5 month old african grey. She is busy plucking her feathers. At first she started kibbling her tows, which was fine with me. After that she has now plucked all of her feathers on her legs and is now starting below her neck. I am struggling to find the problem for this as there is no reason for her to be stressed. She has a healthy helping of fruit of veggies every day when I get home and has plenty of water and seed mix to eat and drink during the day. What I am thinking is that it could be a skin irritation with the new feathers coming out but still to young and dumb to stop pulling baby feathers only. Some advice would really be appreciated. DJ'sMom
My almost 8 year old Grey has suddenly started plucking...lots of info on the link below. Hope it helps. I've noticed some of my baby's bald spots growing back in but I don't want to get too excited too soon. Good Luck! http://www.greyforums.net/forums/showthread.php?197982-Plucking-%
