Blitz67
Has anyone found a nice scale which is reasonably priced ? I was using my small kitchen scale when the kiddies were young. Need something a little better. Thanks in advance.

danmcq
You kind find many various price Avian scales online with a perch attachment to just have your grey step up on. http://www.oldwillknottscales.com/veterinary-pet-scales.html http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=avian+scale&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=14480950087&hvpos=1t2&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=221561644521966577&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&ref=pd_sl_1x3a13cviw_b
Timbersmom
I ordered the My Weigh 3001P - Avian Edition - Silver from the Old Will Knotts Scales place in Dan's link above. It was a little cheaper than Amazon and had good reviews. I've been happy with it. Now if Timber would just get on it every time I try...

Yeah...I used to weigh Jasper regularly..stop doing it for a week and that scale becomes a thing of forgotten terror to them.
Timbersmom
Sometimes I can lure Timber on to the scale perch with a piece of cheese, sometimes not. I put it out on the counter the day before I plan to weigh him so he can get get used to it. You do what you can!

Nelson2
I am also using a kitchen scale with a perch on it which help me to stay birds on scale. Why not you search on amazon because there is variety of cheap scales with different price range according to features of that scale. Inara
I just use my kitchen scale that weighs in grams -- here is a link to it on Amazon -- I set it on the kitchen counter, and Inara steps down upon it with no problem daily, perhaps because it is very thin and flat so looks a lot like part of the counter top.
