SchroedersJen
I bought a flight suit for Schroeder, and when I take it off of him, he always has poo mashed in to his fanny feathers. It is a pain for both of us to remove. Dsoes anyone else have this problem? an I doing something wrong?
judygram
That is exactly why I never got any of those flight suits for I figured that would happen and who wants to try to scrape dried poop off their grey's butt feathers. You are doing nothing wrong, but when they have those suits on where else can the poop go:whistle: nowhere but in the suit.
SchroedersJen
Yeah, I stopped using it. I figured he is good at letting me know when he needs to go, so I bring a dixie cup along when we go out, and hold it under his bum when he starts to do his wiggle dance. oppie
I do not like flight suits, as they hold the poop to close to the bird. Poop is just part of having a bird!!! Just my 2 cents worth. Ralph
danmcq
I never did figure out why they were called "Flight Suits". They have nothing to do with flying and everything to do with holding poop like a baby diaper and getting all over the poor baby.
SchroedersJen
I think it maybe because they look similar to the flight suits that cover the bodies of pilots....Forgiving the bright colors and lack of sleeves and legs.....
Lnphantom
My Grey has a flight suit, and I have never had a problem with poop being on her. The one I have has the poop pouch that is below her, and the poop just sticks to the liner and hasn't gotten on her. I know you are supposed to change the liner every three hours or so. Mine does not wear hers a lot yet. I am mainly getting her used to it because she is going to be in my wedding
