Hair pulling

MY CAG doesn't bite me as such and will only nip me if she gets a fright (is startled) by something or someone when I am near her cage.

 

Because I allow her as much out of the cage time as possible, she messes a lot of her food on the floor and I always get to clean it.

 

She will often hang on the cage and pull my hair, or sometimes when she is on my hand, she will try and get to my hair and pull it. Most times, painfully.

 

Is there something sinister in this or is it fairly common / nomral behaviour?

Nothing sinister - your hair is just the most enjoyable, fluffy, ticklish, and playful thing around! It's normal. Short-haired bald guy that I am, I don't have to worry about it, but greys on my wife's shoulder is an exercise in hair abuse.

marco loves hair, tween playing with it and maybe preening ME ... she does it ALL the time.

I was on the couch yesterday, had a umbrella grooming the nape of my neck hair and a grey grooming the top of my head! Very normal! Lol

My zon loves to preen my hair and I love. He sits on the back of my rocker and preens away. Funny because, he normally will not let me touch him but he feels he can touch me just any old time.
