Has anyone else placed their ear upon their gray's back and listened to their heartbeat. It's a really sweet thing to hear that little thing beating. Kind of warms your heart to hear it too. Try it. :)

It is such a coincidence you would mention this today. Although Gilbert is still not ready for such closeness, last night I was holding and snuggling with our smaller parrot Java and I don't know if I actually heard her heartbeat or if I just felt it against my cheek but it was a magic moment.

I think it is amazing how it is so fast, kind of makes me feel out of breath to listen to their little hearts beating like it does, yes everyone should listen to their bird's heartbeat.

No, but now I must try it, but quick enough so I do not lose a piece of my face while trying something he has not encountered before. :P

 

I have always loved feeling Isaac up against my face so i guess it is something he is used to. Definitely exercise care. ;)

Yep..and I have heard it after a quick flight too..it gets pretty fast!

yes it goes REALLY fast. Back when sasha wasn't clipped he would sometimes fly non stop for 5 min.. guess for some excersise anyways when he was done he was panting relaly loud and his heart was beating really hard, thought maybe he would have a heart attack
