What does this behavior mean?

Harrison does this quite often while not in her cage. She sits with her wings like this and kinda shakes them. Here's a pic

She is gorgeous and loves the camera! Liath tries to eat the camera!

 

Are her wings clipped? If so the ends of the feathers may be a little sharp and could be irritating her.

 

Does she make funny little grunting noises when she does this and hold her body quite low? If so, she could be trying to mate with you!

she looks like she wants to fly, is she flighted or clipped? mine looks like that when he's about to fly.

Both my greys do that when they want to go somewhere, it's a flight instinct, I think. He probably wants to fly, or get from point a to b. Mine lean in the direction of where they want to go, when they do that. I usually ask them where they want to go, and point to it. They nod their head and I give them a ride on my finger.

I agree with the ready - set - fly theory. Dayo does the same thing when he is either thinking about flying or just before he lifts off.

I agree with a fly theory..but mine both CAG-s doing that when they want something (food or something that I have{Emotions-000200BE}

Emma does this when she see's me coming or when she see's food that I have and she wants - basically it's her being excited.

Mine does it when he's excited or wants to be picked up...not so much before flight though.

Hi there...yes, I am a customer at the Bird Shop. I've been going into that store since I was a kid. I've always loved going in there to see their birds...even when I didn't have any feathered friends. You must live in my neck of the woods, huh?

Calvin does that before he jumps from his cage. Either she wants to be with you, or she wants to be somewhere else other then where she is at.
