BeeFernandez22
I assume this is what everyone refers to as the pterodactyl scream? Not too sure what he is doing but he does it usually once a night lol. Any ideas?
CLB
Looks like he is having fun! Mine are actually even louder...crazy little dinosaurs.
Jayd
You should hear 2 Cags and a Zon do it at the same time while all flying fast at head level in a mobile!!! LOL

Jayd
That's makes for quite a visual! Joe, will land on a shelve while Spock would land full seed, talons extended just below your shoulder with a thud while Salsa lands at the back of your head and slides to your forehead with forward momentum, leaving red tracks, and they all take-off immediately to continue their land of the lost antics..lol
BeeFernandez22
I can't even imagine!!! When he really gets going it is pretty darn loud!!! Hahaha. Glad to know this is a good thing
CLB
Sort of a "not so gentle" reminder that we have been blessed to share our lives with a wild bird.....primal screams and all!
Mistyparrot
That's it. Misty sometimes does the same when he is getting busy on his play ropes. Steve n Misty

BeeFernandez22
I swear sometimes I watch him and his mannerisms just remind me SO much of a dinosaur and now when we add in the pterodactyl scream I am totally convinced he must be part bird part dinosaur hahaha. He is such a little goofball. Never a dull moment watching him, that's for sure!

kins2321@yahoo.com
Kiki's pteradactyl scream is between three and four pm. Last about ten minutes. We have always ignored it, since I'm sure thats what they do in the Amazon. If I get home from work early enough and take the dogs for a walk, I can hear her two doors down with the windows closed! " Oh my"... a burglar would be scared to death. Nancy

katana600
He is so cute playing with the little piece of loose string and giving it the "what for". Then, I noticed Maverick getting a head rub video. The walls are the same color, the basket is the same, it is hard to believe this is the same little guy as in the raptor imitation. What an adorable little boy he is whether he is being sweet or the prehistoric tough guy.
Mistyparrot
Here is a picture of one of Misyparrots ancestors. I took it during my last trip to the Jurassic. Steve n Misty Edited September 19, 2012 by Mistyparrot
katana600
That is priceless. I want one. I am relatively certain Gilbert is from the carnivorous people-eater group, he is always trying to get a taste of me. Great job Steve.

I watch TV or work on the laptop (ATTEMPT to anyway..) and he usually sits there and plays on his basket or does a nice job of distracting me. He just LOVES those head rubs, though. Sometimes he wants them for no reason and will start chirping and laying his head down, and other times he just does it when I tell him to step up and he would rather not Little Smarty Pants he is... Cheshire Cat
My bird does that, too. It's usually when she's playing and hanging from the top bars of her cage. I think it's a natural thing all Greys do.
chezron
That's the one! You know they did evolve from dinosaurs which would explain the resemblance. Have you ever looked at your soaking wet bird? He or she looks an awful lot like a lizard. At least I think so.
