Wulfgeist Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 I was wondering, I am fixing Cornish hen tonight for dinner and I know they (greys) are pretty smart. If I have half a bird on my plate is Jasper going to know what it is?? I know this is probably a silly question but we've reached the point finally where he's stopping biting me hard and will let me touch his wings, he's not going to think me a monster is he??
Timbersmom Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 No pro here, but it doesn't bother Timber. He's fond of turkey and I guess that might look like his mama!

Be watchful, alert and careful when you're eating the hen.
Wulfgeist Posted August 30, 2012 Author Posted August 30, 2012 I guess I was worrying for nothing, he wanted to share. He begged and begged to come over so I held him near, he nibbled some corn, tasted but didn't like the stuffing, nibbled around at hen and even took a little piece of meat but don't think he liked it that much.
kins2321@yahoo.com Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 My dogs share a small breasted chicken every morning for breakfast. Sophie comes out, gets one bite. She loves it.( long story, why pups are eating chicken for breakfast!) Nancy
judygram Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Josey loves a little bit of chicken, turkey, dove or any other fowl my hubby bags and brings home to eat, she has no problem with it so neither do I, eat, enjoy.
Luvparrots Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 My three parrots are not meat eaters. I have tried to present them with drumsticks and such and what I always get is "no thank you"!
chezron Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 So funny our parrots different reactions. Chicken drumsticks are a overwhelming crowd favorite here. They positively quiver when i pull them out. Marrow is yummy and so good for them.
