Giving my Grey Vegetables

Bronxboomer

Recommended Posts

This weekend I spent making some Vegetables mix for my grey. I bought some cucumber’s butternut squash & kale I cut it up into small slices and he eat some of it but mostly picked on it. I Gave him some sweet Potatoes which I notice he loved I mixed it with some Fruit Blend Flavor pellets by Zupreem. I also mixed up some Mixed Vegetables from Green Giant with some Broccoli Cuts. I also bought some AVI-Cakes Gourmet Bird Food I give him those as treats. I did notice my Grey is alittle picky on what he eats. But he does love to eat his Mix Bird food

Thats good Bronzboomer that he is eating some veggies and they do waste a lot but some of it goes in. Josey also loves sweet potatoes and I usually allow her to eat off my plate at dinner. Now vary it some, add different veggies and you got your grey to eat some good for him vegetables.:P

Have you tried soaking them in a little juice or mixing them with some other food? Some of the members have had success getting them to eat them that way. In fact in one of the threads a member ground them up in a meal form and mixed them in with other foods, you could try that. Have you tried other brands of pellets, the Harrisons I think are the best but if he would eat another brand, it would be better than not at all.

Bronxboomer , well done you for taking the time & trying your grey on different veggies.

Sweet potato is always a favourite of the greys ;)

Harrisons are thought to be the best pellet available, as Judy said you can try grinding them & sprinkle it over his food,if not there are other pellets you can try, perhaps he will be drawn to the coloured pellets that some manufacturers produce.
