judygram
Ronda you are doing all the right things, researching, asking questions and joining this forum, plus you sound like you really want this grey and give it all your love so how can you go wrong. We all question ourselves before undertaking such a huge step as this, but if this is what you want and I can tell it is, then you are well on your way to a wonderful lifetime relationship that will be one of the most rewarding of your life. Now that I have my Josey, I cannot imagine my life without her. You are going to do just fine and I can't wait until you finally have her home and we get to see pictures of her. Dave007
Rhonda Congrats on your new family member that will shortly arrive. Judy says that you'll be very happy and I totally agree. You've asked a lot questions and you're preparing yourself. Everyone in your family is about to have a true thrill. Good luck Dave
Ronda477
Thank you guys and gals! Your right I have been a nervous wreck! lol I don't think I was this nervous when I had my kids, but than again they didn't have a big beak to bite me either lol. My husband and I have wanted a AG ever since we saw one in the pet shop back home. He was the owners pet and we would go in there and visit him all the time. Every year around income tax time we would consider getting one. We wanted either a AG or a McCaw. After having the kids and doing some research we decided the Timneh was the one we should go with for our first FAMILY bird. We have a Quaker which to the rest of the family besides my husband does us no good lol. She talks up a storm but to handle her is impossible. Like I said we have wanted one for years and years now, and now that the kids are a bit older and don't need 24 hour care like 2 year olds, although sometimes the hubby still does lol, we decided we could devote our time and love to one of these sweet birds. I thank all of you for helping and being soo reasurring. It has put a lot of my worries to the side and I can be a more confident person which will just better her when she finally arives! judygram
Just settle down and get over the nervousness before you get the grey home, they can pick up on those emotions of ours and react to them, take it nice and easy from now on. You are going to do fine with this bird.
Makena
I agree with Judy. Just relax and enjoy the little guy... You will do great! We were all in your same boat at one point (for me it wasn't that long ago)! In no time you will wonder how you ever lived without him
