Gio's daddy
Hi everyone, I have been a bird lover for years. I have a white fronted amazon "rocko" that i adopted 5 years ago turns out he is a she. Lol but she knows her name so we kept it. Very old bird passed around a lot till we got her. Anyway my big news is the newest addition to the family a 4 year old timneh!! A boy named "gio" previous owner got him from breeder and hand feed and he is a fantastic bird! Really cant believe they let him go. From what the owner said gio did not get along with the wife and would also call for a favorite dog that had passed so they couldnt take it..I can kind of understand..but this bird is awesome! In fact my first awesome suprise was today, he had been eating a real bightly colored pellet food and I switched him today to the natural and he dove right in!! Still hasnt spoken to me but is whistling and doing sound effects. Im sure he's still trying to get a feel for us its only been 2 weeks. Sorry for being so long winded but excited and wanted to share! Edited June 1, 2012 by Gio's daddy

Ray P
Hi gio`s daddy and welcome to the grey forum and just to let you know all fids are welcome here. We have a great amazon room and a other bieds room with many other species represented as members in their own sub room. You might say that we are a full service forum. katana600
Congratulations to you and to Gio for finding each other! Your previous parrot experience may have helped, but Gio sounds well adjusted to be making such a change without too much fuss. For him to change food in his new home is a plus. For only two weeks together, he must already be building a trust with you. Way to go!
