Jayd
Hi, Maggie here...#1: No sunflower seeds. It makes them nervous and skittish. What we fed and feed ours is, believe it or not, from Walmart, the Universal Blend - Medium to Large Hookbill Parrots. (We take out the few sunflower seeds) Daily, they also get a variety of cooked brown rice, cooked Orzo pasta, (all cold or just warmed to room temp), chopped green leafy veggies (sometimes I hang large leaves in the cage so they can forage), chopped broccoli, sugar snap peas, cooked carrots, hard-boiled egg once a week with shell, very little fruit since Cockatiels are not fruit eaters in the wild, just a general selection of assorted veggies (whatever the others have for the day). No Fruit pellets, they are seed eaters and ours will eat a little leftover of the Nut Blend pellets by ZuPreem. Now, when you get your Macaw, or Caique, I have recipes for you...LOL... Ray P
As always Jay and Maggie gave you a good list of food that is good for them. Some times as a treat mine get The crust of Wheat toast and or a small no salt cracker
