makita725
Well I listen to the advice I was given and Lido is willing taking less at his feedings, He is taken about 35cc's 3 times a day and picking at his mix and fresh greens. He is very active and very vocal!!!!! He also got a new buddy Tuesday night. I went to a local livestock auction to sell some guniea pigs and to my surprise there was a 4yr old B&G macaw there. The people that were bidding on him where guys that come every week to buy pigeon scabs to sell for meat, well they were talking about the high price people would pay to eat macaw. I don't know if it was the truth or not and while I did not plan on buying a macaw I felt like I had to save this little guy. So the bidding war began, and they weren't giving up easy so I feel safe to assume that the $1325 I spent on him saved him from being on someones plate. He needs some time and TLC because he bites ALOT and SCREAMS all the time but I think I did the right things. So now our household consist of 2 B&G, 1 U2 and little lido!!!!!!! Now I think it is time for the family to stop growing!!!!!!!! That of course does not include the snakes and cats. Saturday will be one month since we brought Lido home and I have no regrets on taking on the hand feeding......................He is growing up to be such a big boy (well I hope he is a boy, haven't gotten his results yet)
Acappella
Sounds like Lido is developing wonderfully with your care. That poor B&G. Does he have a name? I'm not at all a violent person, but some people just need to be slapped, hard, multiple times! Please post in the appropriate room about him so that we can follow his progress.
