makita725
Today we brought home our 5 week old baby and after surfing the web I found this sight. Thank you for answering alot of questions that I had. I have a 20 year old Umbrella Cockatoo that came to us just a few months ago. So needless to say having a baby will be all new to me. I do have a little bit of experience with hand feeding as I managed a pet store for 7 years and that was one of my duties that I very much enjoyed. Feeding went well today and Lido seems to be doing well. I just dont have the first clue of when you start training and what to start with. Any help would be great, I don't want to mess this up. judygram
Thats an awfully early age to be bringing a baby grey home but since you have experience with handfeeding I hope all goes well, you will find lots of useful information in the nursery room so be sure to read those threads especially the stickys. I don't think you have to worry about any training at this time for the most important thing now is to ensure your baby eats well and stays healthy. Why don't you officially introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us more about you, your too and this new grey baby you just brought home. Would love to see some pics of Lido and we have an other birds room where you can share some of the too if you like.
