ariisamis
I read on another thread that we should not give to many peanuts. Would it be ok to omitt peanuts from my CAGs diet? I have a human son who is allergic to peanuts. I would rather not bring them in the house. He is also allergic to corn so I will use newspaper in the bottom of the cage. His allergy to peanuts is worse than his allergy to corn. He is also allergic to wheat, soy and tomatoes. I hope my CAG is easier to feed than he is,lol. Dave007
It would be fine to eliminate the peanuts. Most seed mixes have peanuts in them ( shelled and unshelled). The unshelled and shelled peanuts are usually the uncooked type. Many parrots don't like the flavor so many people simply take the peanuts from the mix and some people throw them in the backyard for the squirrels. Raw peanuts have no real value anyway.
