Hi and welcome to the forum. When I was looking at this cage link, I was wondering how difficult is would be to open the top and whether the perch has to be removed in order to give him a place to play up there. My cage is similar to this one http://www.northernparrots.com/bolivia-play-top-parrot-cage-2-colours-prod950550a/ I like that I can just open the door and Gilbert will climb up there to play and I don't have to change and move it. My guy is an older rescue and doesn't like me to mess with his cage so if I had to open the top it would upset him. It is hard to know what your home space will accomodate and how much Casper is out and what choices you have in your country. It is nice for you to be upgrading and making a great place for Casper to play.

i have one of those open top cages and honestly i never use it. it scares me that something would happen to the perch that hold them open and crushes the bird as it crashes close. the playtop you chose is a much more practical and safer choice.

**edit. use it meaning i never open the top. the front of the cage has a "porch" that when opened folds down so its like a little perch. i just open that and all is good.
