Life is Greyt
We got ours from Dr. Foster's and Smith catalog. It's white and folds down for storage. It's about $50.
judygram
Sassy, I have both sizes of these cages, they work great for travel and would work for a sleeping cage also, my grey travels in the larger one when we go visit my son and his family on a weekend visit, a four hour trip one way and she does fine in it, she plays and chatters and generally enjoys being with me. I also use it to take her to work with me occasionally, it also collapses to store away when not using it but I leave mine ready to use just in case there is an emergency and have to get everyone out immediately. Here is where I got mine from: http://www.thecountryroost.com/catalog/default.php?cPath=28_29&osCsid=0bd0eb7c9f31ba4a0eae0ac67687a095
thenabrd
we use a cockatiel type cage for kallie. it has a large swing open door that allows her to go in easily. we use a much larger perch than what came with it. (took unused perch and cut it down to size and sawed the grooves in the ends to fit on the bars) we also secure the other doors after we've put in food and water. its big enough for her to have a few toys and there's a pull out pan at the bottom to be able to change the paper in the bottom. for athena we use an even smaller cage, probably meant for keets or finches. we do the same thing with the doors for athena, it has room for a few toys, and it also has a pull out pan at the bottom to change paper. the bar spacing on both is something i don't like, but they are very nice to take them outside in and to go places in the car in. Luvparrots
I have three of the same type cages Judy posted about. They are great! I use them for visiting family and going outside to let the gang sun. I do leave them stacked open in a corner of the birdroom as I live alone and want quick and easy access to them in an emergency. kins2321@yahoo.com
I don't go crazy about a travel cage. mostly, its used to get Sophie to her trimmer for a shower and nail clipping. It has a single perch. I'll never forget the day we picked up Sophie at age two. We knew NOTHING about a grey. We adopted her from a racecar driver. We picked her up, she opened the travel cage, and steped up on my shoulder, while I was driving.( wagging her tail!) Kids were screaming and freaking out! I also was freaking out, but Sophie was having fun. Wagging her tail.... I'll never forget this memory! LOL! Nancy
