I wonder if all the babies when you bring them home from the breeders or the petstores all go thru a period of not eating or nervousness? It would be helpful to know since I'll b bringing Marco home in alittle over a week ... so I can know of things to look for...

I don't really know! I have started a new thread askig the same question but didn't get an answer from anyone! DJ is not eating his seeds mix, not any veggies, or anything else I am giving him. He only eats the baby mix I prepare for him! Today he tried to crack some seeds but he throw them as soon as he picks them up.

What did the breeder feed him? Sunflower seeds and fresh corn only? Or some type of pellets? Something else?

Chickie didn't have any problems adjusting to her new home, but every bird is different. I kept her on the same pellets he breeder weaned her onto and she did just fine.

Same with Ellie. But things are (apparently) a bit less "standardized" in Dubai...
