You took such good care of him and loved him so much, and I hope you take comfort from knowing his life was good and happy even if it was way too short. I have had my Charley for only 2 weeks but can't imagine loosing him, you definitely fall madly in love with these guys immediately! Please find comfort that you did do everything you could including comforting him and insisting on the vet visit even though you were told not to bother.
