zephyr Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 First shower where she got fully soaked through. She seemed to actually like it. Didn't try to fly away and didn't make any bad sounds. She was pretty interested in the razor, took the blade off and let her play with the plastic handle. Good 3 minutes of fun while drip drying a bit
judygram Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Oh yeah, whatever she sees you with is hers too, looks like she enjoyed her shower, no doubt you made it enjoyable for her, wish all of us could be this lucky as my grey dislikes taking baths.
Ray P Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 If you eat it, they will eat it, If you have your hands on it, they want their talons on it. I would it`s a grey thing, but my amazon is the same way.
aerial.2000 Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 cute cute .... good then she cant push the shaving cream can lol
xSarahx Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 when you shower with them can you still have the water as hot as you normally would?
Life is Greyt Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I turn it down a little for her, but it's still warm enough that it doesn't feel cold to me. I asked my breeder the very same question and she said as long as it wasn't hot enough that it was going to burn you or them, then it's ok, but she did say that they typically prefer cooler water if given the choice. Chickie now showers with us, if we're showering in the morning, or, if not, I shower her in the sink with the sprayer and room temp water.
xSarahx Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 ok thanks,i have not tried him in the shower with me yet but he does not like it any other way so ill give it ago , think i best turn mine down abit as i like it so hot i come out red
Papaleka Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Just curious, is that a perch especially for parrots in the shower? where did you get it?
Life is Greyt Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I got mine off of eBay. We use it to stick to the shower wall or sometimes we put her in the window on a nice day. I just searched for bird shower perch and found exactly what I was looking for.
xSarahx Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Ive been looking at them did you get the mediums ize or large?
Life is Greyt Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Oh man...that I don't remember. I would think medium, but do they give a description as far as weights or general bird size? The one I bought said it was good for greys.
