Beak repair

Can anyone comment on how the beak will grow back or is it only the tips that grow?

It also points out the danger that doors can pose to our palls.

I saw that on the internet and my heart stopped for a second, how awful for that macaw but to comment on your question I don't really know but I am guessing it will regrow though it may take a long time and probably will never look normal again.

I felt very bad looking at the poor Macaw, i hope he is fine now.
