murfchck Posted June 3, 2012 Author Posted June 3, 2012 Feather-in update is in the new macaw section..... It is official, i am an idiot!
murfchck Posted July 13, 2012 Author Posted July 13, 2012 Oh, he loves me, he really really loves me! A while ago i spoke about his throwing up, well i was corrected and he is regurgitating. He usually just does it when i am around but it has progressed to when i am holding or playing with him. He will hold his foot and pump his head till it comes up! A few days ago, he was on my chair and was trying hard to get in my mouth, i wouldn't play that game so i cupped my hand, he still wanted my mouth so i put him on his stand to forget. Lol Yesterday he accepted my hand, grossed my hubby out but oh well, he is just jealous, haha! I agree with Nancy that this is a natural act for them so i will not discourage it. It is how he is showing me love and i wouldn't hurt his feeling for anything! Pat is very worried about the new guy coming and how his affection with me could lead to agression with bubba, i guess we will have to just see and deal with it if and when i happens!
Greywings Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Glad he loves you but best to distract him and not encourage the out of species love it can lead to some pretty unhappy endings.
murfchck Posted July 14, 2012 Author Posted July 14, 2012 How so? I don't encourage him but if he does it, i am not stopping him. I kinda feel i would hurt him if i turned the other way. When i spoke to the vet about it, he just laughed and said that he loves me.
