Talon
That is a very good age. Have you been able to visit the bird yet? Ask lots of questions, especially about what it is eating right now, so you will be prepared, should you decide to get it. Please keep us posted! judygram
Sure it is ok, and it is young enough that it has not reached the independent stage, the only better age would have been a just weaned baby.

BMustee
Check to make sure the eyes are clear and bright, the nares are free from blockage are discharge, feathers in good condition, and make sure the vent (butt) is clean. If any of these seem to be not right with the bird then you may want to continue looking for a different one, or ask the guy if he will give you a health garentee and take the grey to a vet for a total check-up. danmcq
Arrior - That is a wise decision. If the Grey is in apparent good health and seems to select you and interact with you as well. It sounds like you may have found a fine CAG for yourself. :-) Everyone has given important information for your consideration. We'll be waiting to hear more from you on the outcome.
