what video camera do you use?

hi all;

 

for xmas my wife got me a canon HD video camera. i had been wanting one for a long time and was excited to get it. big problem though. It records in a .MTS format which means i have to download the file, convert the file then maniplate the file.

 

im sorry but my time is short and i do not want to be a editing room. all i want is to be able to take some nice clean sharp videos to keep family/firends updated on my family life and Grey forums updated on my CAG and be able to upload them to youtube or where ever with little or no effort on my end.

 

so i was wondering what gear do you guys use to upload videos? I have a old digital camera but the video quality is sub par, it does the job but the video quality just isnt there.

What kind of digital camera do you have (the old one)? What are the specs? I have a digital camera that takes fantastic video...not HD, but the images are clear, and crisp.

I use Nikon Coolpix 8100 compact camera. Simple and easy.

I use my digital camera for video. It is excellent and has one heck of a clear zoom. I have a Canon SX10IS. It records as a .mov file

 

I let a friend borrow my camera and this was taken at an outdoor rock concert, at night, about 120 feet from the stage.

Oh man....I don't like KISS' music, but I LOVE Gene Simmons as a person. I just think he is a good father, and I admire that....anyhow, I also have a Nikon digital camera, and it takes fantastic video! I can't remember the model number on it though...I will have to check.

I'm not a KISS fan either but that youtube video shows the detail that the camera can record in ... changing lights, movement, metalics and shiny things. Heck most of the video on that users page was recorded with my camera.
