Luvparrots Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 I just had to show everyone my new Christmas Hat!!! Not too bad a shot (remember I live alone so this photo was taken by me, unseen)! LOL!!! I hope everyone has a joyful Christmas with the people they love!!!
CLB Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 My husband got a hat like that this morning! His was shades of grey (no green)! First time Shadow had ever actually landed on his head. Doesn't surprise me though....she still adores him. Why not a Grey bird Christmas Hat. So funny.
Gwen Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Louie looks like he's playing -- King of the Mountain !!! Is that Ana Grey he's fending off?
Luvparrots Posted December 25, 2011 Author Posted December 25, 2011 Yup, that's Ana Grey. According to her, I'm her "mountain"! LOL
birdhouse Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 (edited) That hat's nice enough to wear all year long lol Edited December 26, 2011 by birdhouse
judygram Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 You have come a long way with Louie and though it is not the type of hat you would like to wear it does show the progress he has made, I know the day will come when he will allow you to touch him even if it is just a little bit, bet this was the highlight of your holiday. Thats a pretty good shot considering how it was taken, you are getting good at this. Ana Grey looks unhappy with the situation but Louie might give her a run for her money in time.
Luvparrots Posted December 26, 2011 Author Posted December 26, 2011 I will admit the head shot with Louie sitting so quietly is one that I only tolerate because Louie is new to coming to me on his own. Once he is more comfortable with being near me, he will get shaken off just like my greys are now!!!
Ray P Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Louie is coming around faster and faster and before you know it he will be on your shoulder looking for a head rub.
Luvparrots Posted December 27, 2011 Author Posted December 27, 2011 Louie already sits on my shoulder, but he then wants to nibble a ear. That is not acceptable so if he continues to nibble, he must get off. Louie likes to touch me with his open beak, this is something I have to still work on.
