It relates to a threatened prosecution of a group of people who rescued a number of parrots from an intolerable situation from an allegedly cruel keeper. But I realize it's just another sad comment on the upside down state of affairs these days. I hope a lot of people will see this as one small opportunity to encourage much needed change in our (animal cruelty) laws & protect the people who are actively trying to work towards that goal. Tias Posted November 18, 2011 Share Posted November 18, 2011 Thank You for posting, it is a horrible situation and I agree with everyone who has said that officer doesnt know what she is talking about....like someone said, if it were children, or dogs that Ratcliff would be prosecuted. Someone needs to be the voice for those poor birds, and the people who rescues them. I signed the petition, and thank you for sharing the link to be a voice for these poor creatures. The fact that there are any questions as to what needs to be done is precisely how I can look at humanity in total disgust! The law is just about as dumb as a bag of rocks when it comes to this. No one should have to show anyone why this is wrong...it's plainly obvious that heartless morons have the power there and I hope that this person can forever be banned from keeping birds as prisoners.
