terminalxs Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) Hello! My name is Andy, and I'm the proud new owner of two African Greys (Timneh): Cheech and Fluffles. I joined this forum a while ago, but never really participated, just read some posts. I am not new to birds, or even the parrot family, but I am new to TAG's. I bought these two with the hope of breeding, and was told they were both proven, but with different bond mates, and that they are now very bonded to each other. I have a next box in the cage, and the female is shredding away, so I hope that is a good sign. My problem, so far, is a distinct lack of co-operation. They TAG's aren't at all skiddish, except if you ask them to step up...then they will fly off to other parts of the house. While I can towel them to return to cage after my cleaning chores are done....well, I'd obviously prefer to have some help on their behalf...any suggestions?? Barbara2 Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 It is very nice to meet you but I don't have any recommendations for you unfortunately. I have one hand tamed TAG and no experience at all with breeders. Hopefully someone will come along with a useful post.
Luvparrots Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Can you have pet greys as breeding greys ?????? And aren't breeding greys usually bonded pairs???
terminalxs Posted October 28, 2011 Author Posted October 28, 2011 Not really wanting them as PETS, per se...just need to be able to clean cages and things without a lot of hoopala...I just now got a very nice bite....
