I don't know. It's a regular dark bread, rye maybe. He likes white bread too, but crazy about dark one.

If its whole wheat or whole grain it is better than white so if he loves it then by all means let him have it.

Could it be Pumpernickel? If so it is a multigrain complex bread and should not be a hazard as long as it is balanced with other foods such as dark leafy greens ect. Do read the label for sodium, and sugar content we need to keep both of those low.
