Christina
I have often said to my husband that Finni doesn't whistle or make many noises. He said to me that in the afternoon (when I'm at work) he hears Finni in his room, whisteling and making all kinds of happy noises. I guess on the weekends, Finni is out alot so I still don't hear him. My husband called me today and said, listen and held the phone up to the door so I could hear...Finni was carrying on making all kinds of clicks and whistles and whirring sounds. It was sooo cute. I could even recognize the wolf whistle I have been diligently trying to teach him...he almost has it, not quite, but enough that I could recognize what he was doing. It was nice to finally hear him really vocalizing!
Tari
lol welcome to the world of owning a closet talker. Mine is the same way. She says stuff when she thinks no one well hear her. Every once in a blue moon she well talk when out on her playstand but very very rarely.
judygram
Well I guess I am lucky, for Josey will talk in front of us, she will even answer my hubby. But she does not talk in front of anyone else. I know they tend to be closet talkers, but Josey will talk whenever she is in the mood.
BMustee
Mine will talk all day long when it's just me but as soon as I have people over and I try to get him to make his noises I get nothing...all my guests just get to hear me making the noises that I "say" the bird makes. Guest briansmum
yep i'm exactly the same i'm so proud of brians little repertoire which is at it's best on a morning but if we have guests to stay he's completely mute when they're there. my sister has heard him meow and he chatted a bit for my mum when he stayed with her, but all my friends think i'm making it up! danmcq
Hi Christina, so you have a "Closet" talker, do you. :-) Just kidding, wait until he has it all calibrated to his perfect standards. Then he will proudly drive you bonkers with his glowing debut in perfect speech and tonal fluctuations. :woohoo:
Christina
It sure is fun watching them grow and decide when and what they are going to do. I would have never guessed before I had a bird that they are so independent and intelligent. What a great companion...I think they challenge us to get to know them as much as we probably challenge them...probably more so!

judygram
Joe, I'll just bet you do watch body movements, mainly womens bodies, you dirty ole man. If I am ever in Florida, you better watch out for some body watching from me if I ever catch you out.
Makena
Makena makes all his little cute baby noises when there are other noises in the room... He loves to try and out perform the coffee grinder, washing machine, dishwasher, or our conversations!
