Shelly Yokum
They need a low fat, high protein foods. There are man thread on subject. The main thing is remember if its bad for you, its bad for birdie!!! No avocado, No chocolate, No caffeine! Leafy greens are very good. If your birdie don't eat it at first keep offering, and one day it might.
Greywings
Go for the darker colored veggies and fruits-Kale, Broccoli, carrots, sweet potato, Mango, Beets, Squash-you get the idea organic if possible do wash well. You can cook up some beans & lentiels just until the begin to soften and add red pepper or ginger to the mix and some Red Palm Oil asd it cools. Sprouting grains and nuts and seeds offers some wonderful nutrition as well. Here is a a link to one source who has a cheap sprout starter kit and offer a selection just for birds http://www.sproutpeople.com

Collins
It depends on age too.But the generally the only parrot food is not good for grey birds.I will give you advice to use the organic pallets because it will keep save your bird from high quality sugar dosage. Parnell
Well it is a good answer by collins that it depends on age and usually the best diet could be low fat, high protein foods and usually it is given to birds.
