Rowan Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Dayo is 10 weeks old now and his feathers are coming in beautifully. We have noticed that his legs, under his wings and the lower part of his back are "pink"!
judygram Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 "Mr Pink Pants" will probably lose that color feathers when he goes thru his first molt and then again he may not, we call that the red factor and some people prize such greys so you have a special grey.
JDS5607 Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 Our grey has red freckles up and down his legs and around his chest too! He's over a year and a few months old and they have actually gotten more numerous. Congrats- he's different with the pink! lol!
Birdnut Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 My Moussa has the pink feathers in the same area. It's kind of unusual, but does occur sometimes. He's going through his first molt now, so we'll see if he loses the pink or if it stays.
