well this little fid was not planned by any means,we now have a new Sunconure and they named her or him not sure if she is a she or a he Sundance , not sure if I like that name either anyways my neighbor moved today and didn't want to take the bird with her so she was going to take her to the Humaine Society , our Humain Society does not keep birds infact they put them to sleep they only have dogs and cats I just couldn't let this sweet little bird be put to sleep , she is so friendly and cuddly ,so I had to run to the pet store to get her a decent cage , the cage they had for her was all rusted and really yukky and of coarse she had to have a few new toys and for sure some perches and a swing ,my hubby says nooooooooooo more birds lol I think I can put up the Inn is Full sign now for sure

heres her pic , I will do a dna test in a week or 2 when she gets use to us and the birds

Congrats on your new addition to your flock, you are going to love a sun for they are little clowns with bright coloring, my sun is spoiled rotten and can be a cuddler also.

How sad she was going to just drop it off at Humane Society like it was a throw away possession and you certainly saved its life by taking it in and giving it a home.

Sundance is a very pretty bird but then I am partial to suns, love them.

we decided to definitly change her name , we are going with Echo for a girl and Rico(hubby's pic) for a boy , I will give her a little while to adjust then take the dna sample and send it off which reminds me I better send for the kit

what kind of toys does Sunconures play with? I have a wooden toy , some shredding toys, a ladder and a new Orbit swing , she really likes the swing I think that is where she is going to sleep tonight anything else I should get for her? they had one toy in her cage and it was very old and chewed up , poor baby well now she will live a good live with good food and lots of toys and attention

I have recently taken a liking to Suns myself . I use to have a green check and he loved to bite me every chance he could. He passed away, a while back. I didn't know as much about birds then as I do now, and didn't have a lot online to find back then. So I could have given him a better home if I would have known how. He was loved, and new it. I guess thats all that matters. Good luck with the beautiful bird. I am glad it didn't go to sleep at that horrible place. You did good by saving its life.
