Shoulderin
Does anyone have experience with brown headed parrots? My local bird store has a two year old male for sale. He was bought there as a baby and returned by original owners because he started saying a bad word. The store felt that was a bogus reason to return the bird but felt the home was not that good so took him back. He is apparently quite feisty and can bite but I have visited him several times and he has definitely taken a liking to me! I can carry him around and pet him to the surprise of the staff. Any advice? I have a 9 month CAG and two white winged parakeets that I just love so I am becoming a fid lover!!
judygram
I googled the brown headed parrot and found this site and it has a lot of information about it: http://www.avianweb.com/brownheadedparrots.html Be sure to share some pictures of this bird if you do get him. MarcusCAG
I just looked at the pics in the link Judygram shared and they are lovely-looking birds! If you feel you can give this baby a good forever home, I'm sure he will be very happy with you.
Shelly Yokum
well, I know nothing about them either, don't even think I have ever seen one, but if you don't want the bird to say a bad word, then don't say them around it.
Shoulderin
I know! As if the bird just knew how to say it without help! Maybe he just wanted to get out of there....
