vacuums....??

Hi there,

I am looking for some input on buying a new vacuum. My old beast took a digger, and it's time to purchase something that works. We have hardwood floors with area rugs here and there, so I would like something that can handle the feathers, remnants of pellets, but be able to vacuum carpet as well.

 

What do you use? Suggestions?

We use a number of vacs. A wet dry vac for big stuff, we also have a Kirby and a hoover for carpet and a shark for the hard wood floors.

Many of the members use differant types but this is what we use

I have a Dyson, but I also have carpet. My sister in law has an Electrolux and she loves it! It is the quite one for flat surfaces or low carpet.

We have a Rainbow. They are expensive brand new, but you can also buy them used but overhauled as well. It works great in our house, considering all the fur and feathers we have here; and we've had it a number of years already. The one my mom had lasted about 20 years and my parents, while I was growing up, had more pets than we do!
