ZivaDiva
I have an AeroGarden which I haven't used but am wanting to use it to grow lettuce for my rabbits. I am concerned about possible Teflon and emailed the company asking if it contained any PTFE. A very nice representative told me the AeroGarden does not have any in the plastic or unit itself and that they have many customers who use it to grow greens for their birds. I then asked about the lights, etc. and was told they researched it and could not find any mention of PTFE's. Has anyone used one in their house or know anything about them? Talon
Never heard of an AeroGarden. Do you have any pictures?
Eshana
I googled it: http://www.aerogrow.com/ It looks like a great idea for apartments. I'll be interested in what other people have to say on the subject!
judygram
I have seen these but don't know whether they are safe or not but it doesn't look like its big enough to grow much of anything.
ZivaDiva
I've know people who use them and really like them but none of them have birds. I looked up reviews from people growing lettuces and they seem to really grow a lot. I buy lettuce a couple times a week for my bunnies and would love to have some back up and fresh lettuces. It still makes me nervous even with them saying it's safe. I was concerned about the grow light but then remembered that many people use lights on birds for Vit D and they are safe so it is possible to have a safe light for the AeroGardens. I was hoping someone on here had used one and could say it was safe. I'm so nervous about using anything in my home because of the birds.
