PetLover
Ok is there a reason why my 8year old male CAG is darker then my 5year old female? Do they get darker with age? Is it a male-female thing? Is it just different birds? Just asking. Was lookin at them and can't get over how much darker Fred is then Bam. Thanks
judygram
No reason just some Cags are darker grey than others, they are all individuals and will vary in the shade of grey, my grey is a lighter grey than some I have seen, in any case it is nothing to worry about, Fred just has more pigmentation than BamBam does. PetLover
That's what I was thinking but just wanted to make sure ;-) love them both anyways. I will be off to the vet in the morning with Lucy the cockatoo. Hope all goes well with her. She is not all that bad like the guy made her out to be. Ive had her for almost two weeks now and she is a good bird I hear the CAG's more then I hear her. And he was gonna kill her. Man I hate people like that. Jayd
Here's a wonderful article on the areas where the different shades of [imported]Grey's come from in Africa. Since almost all Grey's are "captive bred now, more variables are introduced...Judy's "Spot on"......Your TOO, could change as time goes on and she starts welcoming life after she settles in.. http://www.africangreys.com/articles/other/variations.htm Edited April 22, 2011 by Jayd added http
