My name is Judy. I have a pair of Congos. I raised them as babies and they are now 12 and 13 yrs.

I too love the sun room, and want to welcome you. Like you I have my cages in the window, but as we had a bad storm and I was wondering if the cages could be struck by lightening. It worried me so bad, that I got the birds out of their cage and put them on their play stands in the center of another room. I couldn't bare to loose another pet or member of the family right now.

It looks like your two greys get along good together, that doesn't always happen but it is so great when they can play together, you are very lucky indeed.

My greys have been together for 12 1/2 yrs. They are an unrelated DNA'd pair. I hand raised Bigelow, and Patty joined him when she was 8 months old. I tried to breed them starting at age 7, and tried 3 more times when they were older. Each time there were 3 eggs, but they were not fertile. I felt so badly for them, I have decided not to try again. I just enjoy their company now. I have successfully raised 2 other clutches with Bigelow's parents and enjoyed it tremendously. I now, however, just have Bigelow and Patty. They are both talkers and very social.
