taylorsmom Posted March 31, 2011 Share Posted March 31, 2011 We are getting our new baby in a couple months, and I have been searching for the perfect cage. I want something on the larger side, just because once in a while we have crazy days and can't have him out all day. The problem I have is our breeder recommends having either 1/2" or 3/4" bar spacing. Most of the big cages have 1" bar spacing. Any advice on where to look? I might just have to settle on something a little smaller then what I have in mind. Does anyone have any cages that they really love? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
judygram Posted March 31, 2011 Share Posted March 31, 2011 You should really get a cage big enough so that your grey can open his wings to flap and not be able to touch the sides and that is pretty big, most cages that big come with 1" or bigger spacing. I do not think that 1" spacing is too big for a grey but I wouldn't go any higher especially if you get a Tag as they are slightly smaller than Cags. It is smart to get a big enough cage for even if your grey will be out most of the day they need the room for days they do have to spend a lot of time in them because you are gone. I know for sure I won't get anything smaller then 36"x20"x48". You do not think 1" bar spacing is to big? If that is the case that will make cage buying much easier!
