Zoom
I've been counting the days and now it's finally starting to feel real. I've got his cage all set up in the living room, kitty-corner from Kazoo's cage. Kazoo and I have watched lots of youtube videos of CAGs lately, and I tell him that's Simon, and Simon is going to move in with us and live in the new cage and be his friend. I feel like I'm preparing a toddler for a new baby brother. Simon will be moving into a smaller cage upstairs for the first month, for quarantine purposes. I wish we didn't have to do that. I wish he could just move into the living room cage right away and become a full-fledged member of the flock right from Day One. Is it absolutely essential to quarantine them? judygram
Congrats on Simon coming home this Saturday, I know you can't wait. If you are having Simon vet checked and your Kazoo has been recently vet checked then it may not be necessary to quarantine Simon from Kazoo but go slow with the introduction. I look forward to seeing some pictures when Simon gets home.

Ray P
This will be the longest week of your life. When we went to pick up Corky they said she was not ready that it was taking a little longer than they thought. We came back the next week but Corky had not flown yet. The third time was a charm. they would not let her go until she was ready and they were wright. But that extra 2 weeks was the longest time and that was over 10 years ago and that extra 2 weeks is long gone. GOOD LUCK with your baby. Guest jules420_91
Congrats on your new addition. We had to wait for Louie to come home too. We visited him regularly & he finally weaned himself at 13 weeks. He was able to come home this past Sat once he was eating his pellets well. The last 2 weeks of the wait were torture especially when he would cry when we were leaving him. He is now home, happy & healthy. We just adore our baby boy. We did not have any problems bringing him home. It seems like he was saying "it's about time you brought me home". LOL. It is very much like having a young toddler in the house, he is a little monkey but absolutely wonderful!! Keep us posted on Simon's progress.
