lovemyGreys Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 I won a Daylight play stand on Ebay, which i collected yesterday I won it for £20 , i think that's roughly $40 , A real bargain as they retail here In the UK for over £100 !! I gave it a real good hot wash & disinfected it with avian F10. It is in immaculate condition. I made a few changes, adding perches & toys Here's the before & after pictures. After With Coco my rescue trying it out,
danmcq Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Wow LMG (lovemygreys) that is a very good bargain and it looks like new since you gave it the sanitizing and detailing!!! Good Find, I will start watching ebay for deals such as this. :-)
lovemyGreys Posted September 1, 2007 Author Posted September 1, 2007 Dan, i dont have a problem with Ebay, you can get some pretty good finds on there, you just need a little luck. This playstand was half an hours drive from me & was a great buy.As with most things a good sanitizing before you use them
judygram Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Being within driving distance is where you had the advantage here, Tracy, it would be my luck the item would be half the way around the world and would have to ship it. My daughter shops on ebay but I have yet to try it. That playstand is exactly like the one I have for Josey, but I forget where I purchased it, she enjoys playing on it and I can take it anywhere around the house. Thanks for sharing this tidbit with us, maybe it will give me the incentive to try ebay for once.
Talon Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Tracy, that is a great play stand. I have one almost like it for Talon. I too purchased it on ebay. I keep it in my office, but she prefers my desk!! Looks like your greys like it! Thanks for the pictures!

kiwibarb12 Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 I'm not positive - but I think your bird needs a few more toys!
lovemyGreys Posted September 2, 2007 Author Posted September 2, 2007 kiwibarb12 i have three greys that live in their own room ! That's just a few of their toys
nevjoe Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 The MORE toys the better I always say. There are kid toys, ADULT toys, bird toys and I guess some other kind of toys. SO! bring on the toys. Joe
judygram Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Just the bird toys will do, Joe, this is a family forum you know. LOL But I gotta love your enthusiasm.
Guest briansmum Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 great bargin tracy, i'm gonna start checking ebay more. the stand from the last ebay link you posted should be here tomorrow, i could do with come bargain toys though.
lovemyGreys Posted September 4, 2007 Author Posted September 4, 2007 Beccy, i but quite a lot on eBay, check out the baby's rattles on there I clean them with hot water and a spray of avian disinfectant, my greys love them
Guest briansmum Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 what avian disinfectant do you use?
lovemyGreys Posted September 4, 2007 Author Posted September 4, 2007 F10 you can buy it diluted & ready to use or you can get in concentrated. I use it for everything, toys, cages, food bowls etc.. it's multi purpose I get if off the internet, or there is some ebay !!
Guest briansmum Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 sounds great, i'll look for that. i have some birdie cage cleaner, but i wouldn't use it for bowls or toys.
nevjoe Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 This stuff sounds to high Tech for a boy from Brooklyn. I use the old method of Ivory soap and luke warm water. I get it from the local store. Joe
judygram Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 And I bet you combine it with some good old fashioned elbow grease, works every time.
